VILLAGE
This is my graduation project for the Neurophotography course at the Prague Media School, where I practiced portraying real-life people.
I wrote a film synopsis about a Japanese girl who ends up in a Russian village and cast Anna Sawai in the lead role, using only a few publicly available photos of her. Then I created a poster and several scenes based on the synopsis.
I focused on creating a consistent, recurring real character throughout the scenes. Some shots were generated in MidJourney and further refined in Flux via Comfy UI.
During the process, I was inspired to add a fantastical character, resulting in the creation of a horse-like creature. To ensure the creature remained more or less consistent from scene to scene without creating a custom LoRA for the character, I practiced maintaining its consistency through detailed prompt engineering describing the horse-like creature.
Highlighting the contrast between Japanese and Russian cultures was essential, so I extensively used the Inpainting tool on Comfy UI to refine key details such as clothing and crowd faces.
